2 Line Review: Capt Cooks

This is the best hotel counterservice I have been too-- I love that its got a Dole Whip machine and its open 24 hours!  Plus you can get other Poly favorites like Kona Cafe's Tonga Toast here and sushi to go!

Wishes, dream a dream

Photo Tip: Remember, pictures don't have to be perfect.  Even though I have a beautiful camera and have gotten good a fireworks shots, this one holds a special place in my heart.  It was the first time I saw Wishes from the train station in Magic Kingdom and even with a little blur it was a great addition to our Christmas card and frames!

Whether its a shop theme or architecture nobody can get things in perfect theme like imagineers!

Snow White's Fountain

I thought this would be a great place to start our West Coast Wednesdays since it was my first wishing well wish in a Disney Park! I have passed by Cinderella's fountain numerous times in all my trips but never made a wish for some silly reason! Last month, a friend and I stumbled upon Snow White's adorable fountain in Disneyland and both made a wish.  ;)

2 Line Review: Wild Africa Trek Boma

The colors and the tastes complimented our time up close and personal on safari with more bold and exotic experiences... and they incredible, just like the tour!

International Gateway to Epcot

I wish we were all heading to Epcot today for some fun in the sun.  Viking Coffee on me! ;)

It doesn't matter if its Splash, Kali River Rapids, or even the camel in Adventureland... when I get soaked on a ride I feel it is my Disney duty to take a picture to document such fun!

Serenity

Even though Animal Kingdom always seems to have the people traffic patterns that make me feel crowded and the flora makes things more humid, there is a serenity there that makes me happy even on cloudy days.

2 Line Review: 1900 Park Fare

1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian is delightful! We had the dinner here with Cinderella and family and the buffet was tasty and the character interaction so much fun (breakfast features Mary Poppins and friends)!  You are in a great little restaurant themed much like the rest of the Grand Floridian and adorned with carousel decor from the turn of the century.  The buffet dinner here was great and you can  meet some of Cinderella's extended family here for a fun character meal- besides the new princess and her prince you can also meet Lady Tremaine, and the stepsisters Anastasia and Drisella!

Stitch's Great Escape

While this may not be a fan favorite, Stitch sure is! I like this ride well enough but I love Tomorrowland in and of itself so it makes a little visit with my favorite experiment gone wrong worth it! :)

At the Disneyland hotel my husband and I spotted this sign "Fire alarm sounds like: Whoop whoop sound"... we couldn't stop laughing when we saw it.  What strange and funny signs have you seen in your Disney travels?

Philharmagic

This is something I recommend to every first time park goer! I love the nostalgia and the 4D effects! And I can't ever seem to decide my favorite scene! ;)

 I always reach out for Donald and forget about the water splashes!

Carsland.

I am not sure its possible not to love this place.  It fits perfect with all the Pixar themed attractions in the park (like Bug's Land and Toy Story Mania) and yet I feel like it could work in ANY Disney Theme Park all the same. I love DCA so much, I've often said here that it is everything I want from Hollywood Studioes.  I hope Imagineering looks to DHS next for some updating now that they have perfected the integration of Pixar theming into the parks and Buena Vista Street blows away any retro street Ive ever set foot on in a Disney Park. 

Storytellers

Today is my Dad's Birthday and he is another "Walt" who inspires me so I thought I would share my favorite park statue ever.  Also, I am writing this post up ahead of time and since I had my Storytellers LE replica statue was shipped from Off the Page I will surely be gushing about it on the Picturing Disney Facebook soon enough! ;)

Ready for Takeoff!

As we headed over to Soarin' we spotted Minnie Mouse getting ready to take a break from some photopass pictures out front in Condor Flats.  I know this is cut off and crooked but I just love how Minnie is posing, how you can see the photographer and how you can just make out the plane she is standing next to.  Aren't the "worst" pics, sometimes the best?!

Walt's Bench

I am so lucky for my Disney friends! Until I saw Pixie Brenda's fabulous pictures of Walt's Bench I didn't even know it was there in Disneyland! How awesome is this? When she sent me the pictures she sent a little note that said: I wish I could sit right next to him and have him tell me all about life in his words. Me too Pixie Brenda! :)

Petrified!

The plaque reads that Walt gave this piece of petrified tree to Lily for an anniversary gift and she donated it to Disneyland where it fit just perfect in Frontierland!

DJ's Dance & Drive

Carsland is more than just amazing views and great rides.  The hype is well worth it and here's a great example.  DJ's Dance & Drive is part parade part party... check the times guide if you are heading out to Disneyland and be sure to check it out (but beware the crowds can be huge)!

Radiator Springs

The quintessential Carsland "icon" can be found over at Radiator Springs Racers. Like many other Disney Park icons the great thing is how different each shot can truly be.  I took some standard shots, although I think the Instragram pic is my favorite because it gives it that old timey Route 66 look.

Photo Tip: When you find an icon you love snap pictures all round the land you can find it in.  This post has 4 pictures of everyone's favorite butte, however, they all look unique.  I love to send pictures to my Travel Agent and friends where they can showcase a great new icon.  

Suitcase and a Dream

Expect lots more Newsie love here on Picturing Disney... but this seems the best place to start.  The Red Car Newsboys are probably my favorite street performers I have ever seen.  They were just fabulous and California Adventure Park was just popping with bright colors and the Newsies put on such a show! 

I have been singing one of their songs (and as many of you have seen have been willing Disney to release an updated parks album) ever since I left the show and am just smitten with the cute Newsies who arrived in DCA last month! Don't miss this adorable show (which often features Mickey Mouse himself)!

Good Ol' American Boardwalk

Photo Tip: Snap some pictures while you are waiting in stand by lines.  I just love Paradise Pier and don't think I could have gotten this fun view from anywhere besides the queue line on Midway Mania! Kudos to pictures for passing the time!

Toy Story Midway Mania MANIA!

Wanna know the ONLY difference between the Disneyland and Disney World versions of this ride? Wait times!!! While this is probably the most sought after fast pass in WDW it was a 20 minutes standby way at peak time during our Disneyland trip last year!  Talk about snake in your boots!

A Bug's Land!

For some reason A Bug's Land reminded me of a land that you might find in Animal Kingdom and the Cowboy Crunchies box (with its Pixar nod to Toy Story) is my favorite part! I remember "growing" butterflies like this in elementary school!
