Tom Ameen's Magical Moment's Giveaway!!!!!

If there is one thing I love, its alternative versions of my favorite classic Disney Animated Feature or Park music. As someone who works primarily in an office from 9-5, I have to always find a way to get my fix of Disney Magic without annoying my other coworkers.

Well, not too long ago, I heard about Tom Ameen on a weekly Disney Fan podcast, WDW News Today. It was not the first time I had heard them interview Tom, so you could say I was extremely intrigued when he was being interviewed again on his amazing covers (that he publishes with the seal of approval from the “big cheese” himself) of nostalgic Disney songs from the parks and other outlets of the Disney Parks.

 In his latest release, Magical Moments, Tom has taken some beloved Disney songs as well as some music of “Disney Past”. Music from attractions such as Food Rocks!, Carousel of Progress, The Haunted Mansion, and Pirates of the Caribbean give a sense of nostalgia to the album. Each song almost played as a loving lullaby. And to my excitement, the theme song from the popular television series Zorro is also featured. Although some of the music may be obscure to the younger crop of Disney fans, this album is sure to make any the day of any Disney Fan. Especially those who are old enough to remember Veggie Veggie Fruit Fruit or I’d Like To Be You For A Day.

How to Cure the "Case of the Mondays"

We’ve all felt like this at some point. Having a “Case of the Mondays” can be rough, but how do we combat this down trodden feeling?

I’m glad you asked.

One can start off by waking up and having a good breakfast. Put a bit of magic in your day by having some Disney Brand Coffee or by having your breakfast and morning drink served on Disney themed/inspired kitchen ware. Nothing says it a great morning more than when Captain Jack Sparrow is staring back at you.

Another great way to beat the Monday blues is to turn up your Disney Music in the morning. On the way to work, I have been known to blast the Frozen Soundtrack on a packed highway or two, singing “Let It Go” or “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” at the top of my lungs. The fun doesn't have to stop there. During work, I listen to different movie soundtracks or Disney Instrumental Music like Magical Moments from Tom Ameen (remember this…it may come in handy later).

Something else that may help is during your lunch break, take a moment and check in with your favorite Disney Blog!!!!!! Taking a mental break from whatever stresses you may be dealing with at work can actually refocus your mind and make you more prepared for the rest of your day.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier

America's mightiest hero returns to the silver screen for an epic new tale of his new found glory in a world he's unfamiliar with. Without giving too much away about the film, Captain America: The Winter Soldier has brilliantly continued on the path that Marvel has set for the “second phase” of blockbuster films. Captain America: The Winter Soldier picks up a couple months after The Avengers, but also includes memories and records of Captain America: The First Avenger.

In this new time era stripped of barbershop quartets, boiled food, and polio (said by Captain America himself), he finds himself asking a lot of tough questions. The most important question is who to trust in this new world. Even familiar faces can be deceiving.  Marvel’s familiar funny puns make it into the film as well, giving the feature light hearted moments that break from the seriousness of most of what the  storyline deals with. The stunts and explosions are gut-wrenching and real. I was gripping the edge of my seat through most of the film. If you are thrill seeker and love action or suspense films, this is definitely a movie for you. If you are a fan of the Marvel comics like my husband and I who have been following the franchise, it would be a disservice to miss this one.

It's A Small World in Walt Disney World

After taking a look at Disneyland’s It’s A Small World attraction, let’s take a look at the version most of us are familiar with. In 1971, the attraction was recreated at Walt Disney World. It was an Opening Day attraction and is still considered a must do for a Walt Disney World trip. With a cast of 300 traditionally dressed hosts and some of their papier-mâché friends, it’s hard not to love your ride through the Seven Seaways Waterway. Although it was meant to mimic the Disneyland version, It’s A Small World in Florida has some distinct differences. For one, it visits some different areas of the world such as:

·         Scandinavia

·         The British Isles

·         Western Europe

·         Eastern Europe

·         The Middle East

·         Asia

·         Africa

·         Antarctica

·         South America

·         Australia and the South Pacific Islands

The famous white and gold façade is placed indoors. Unlike Disneyland, Walt Disney World’s crazy weather and insane heat forced imagineers to keep most of the lines for attractions within the show buildings. Another difference is the grand finale room where all of the children gather to offer their celebratory farewell. Unlike its twin brother, Walt Disney World minimizes the color scheme to only showing hues of cool tones and white/gold brilliance. It truly brings together the visual and thoughtful idea that we are all the same, no matter where we come from.

As some of you may know, my husband and I honeymooned in Walt Disney World. After a long day at the Magic Kingdom, (we made it for the Welcome Song and everything) we finally got to this attraction toward right before dinner. As we sailed through the Seven Seaways Waterway, I looked over to my left and found a surprise. I couldn’t help but capture the moment. ;D
