Hasbro sent me the collection to review and I am giddy like an 8 year old on Christmas Day!
The Premise:
In the world of Marvel Rising, super-powered teens balance their ordinary lives with their extraordinary ones to discover that their greatest powers lie within. Strong on their own, but even stronger as a team, these super teens use their unique skills and experiences to unlock their potential and find the confidence to better the world! With Marvel Rising, heroes like Ghost-Spider, Squirrel Girl, and Ms. Marvel ignite their inner power and team up to protect the world,” says Hasbro. The Trailer:
The Doll Collection:
The doll collection includes:
- Ms. Marvel
- America Chavez
- Ghost Spider
- Quake
- Squirrel Girl
- Inferno
- Patriot
A look at each of the dolls:
Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan): Ms. Marvel comes in two versions:
Standard: Features a training outfit with a relaxed hoodie design.Hero Version: Features Ms. Marvel costume, articulated arms and legs, and real pants.America Chavez (The Lone Wolf): America Chavez also comes in two versions.
Standard: I love this training outfit ensemble. Everything from America's hair down to her fingerless gloves and earrings are on point.
Hero Version: Hair and costume have better details. Hero Version includes removable earrings, sneakers and a cool clip on accessory.
Quake (Daisy Johnson) Quake comes in two versions, standard and secret identity!Standard: There is nothing standard about this Quake doll. She is my favorite of the collection. Her hair is signature purple and she is decked out in a fierce training outfit.
Secret Identity Version: Daisy's Secret Identity doll comes with two outfits. One training-every day outfit and her Quake super hero outfit. The details on both are terrific.
Ghost Spider (Gwen Stacy): Peter Parker’s friend Gwen's secret identity is Ghost Spider! In her Secret Identity Pack Gwen is dressed in her street clothes with her super hero costume ready for action. This is one cute doll but don't let her fool you, Ghost Spider is ready to rock n' roll!
Squirrel Girl (Doreen Green): Squirrel Girl's Secret Identity pack is sold exclusively at Target. She comes with her own adorable squirrel named Tippy Toe!
Inferno (Dante Pertuz: Inferno has plastic (rather than rooted hair like the female characters in the collection). His hoodie is on fire and he has removable rubber gloves. He is super cool and ready for action.
Patriot (Rayshaun Lucas): Marvel’s Patriot also features plastic hair. The youngest member of S.H.I.E.L.D. comes with his own sleek shield that can be clipped to either arm. The Verdict:
The Marvel Rising Dolls are the perfect gifts for the kids in your universe. The characters appeal to both genders but since they are dolls and not action figures, girls may actually gravitate to them more.
The Marvel Rising dolls are available at Disney Stores,Target, as well as HasbroToyShop.com.
