A special telecast of "High School Musical: The Musical: The Series" is airing on ABC owned television stations and Disney+.

14 years after the debut of Disney Channel's popular sensation "High School Musical," the beloved movie and its newest extension, "High School Musical: The Musical: The Series" for Disney+, are the subject of a special telecast, to be presented beginning SATURDAY, 12/14 on ABC television stations and FRIDAY, 12/20 on Disney+.

The High School Musical special includes:

• "Zac Cam" footage recorded by Zac Efron with Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Monique Coleman, Alyson Reed and Olesya Rulin. I
• Lucas Grabeel (Ryan Evans) makes an exciting announcement about the episode premiering Friday 12/27 and offers words of wisdom for the new series cast
• Actor Corbin Bleu (Chad Danforth) and Disney Legend Kenny Ortega share their Wildcat experiences.
• Highlights the 2019 music recordings for original and new songs.

The new cast includes: Olivia Rodrigo, Joshua Bassett, Matt Cornett, Sofia Wylie, Larry Saperstein, Julia Lester, Dara Reneé, Frankie Rodriguez, Mark St. Cyr and Kate Reinders.
