There's nothing like curling up with a good Disney Book and lucky for us 2020 has seen an incredible amount of great Disney themed books published for fans of all ages.

I read a lot of Disney books and one thing is for sure, every year the variety of choices as well as story telling gets better and better. I’ve included Amazon links for each book so that you can shop the list effortlessly. Whether you are looking for holiday gifts or for new picks to enjoy over the winter yourself, sit back, grab a nice warm beverage and browse at leisure.

Best Disney Themed Books:

Books For Young Disney Fans:

Catch up with the antics of Bruni and his new pal Olaf in this colorful picture book. Bruni the fire spirit runs hot and Olaf runs cold making for the perfect pair.

One of Olaf's favorite things to do is read. He loves the library so when he substitutes as a librarian at the Arendelle Library its an unforgettable experience for all.

Before the Story Book Series: (5-8 years)

The Disney Before the Story Book Series is an illustrated chapter book series that features favorite Disney heroines on fun adventures as young girls. This fun and empowering series includes titles about Cinderella, Pocahontas, Anna and Elsa,  It is the perfect series for the spunky, adventurous 5-8 year olds on your list.

Features 40 key players from Spider Man, Guardians and The Avengers that every fan needs to know.

Books For Middle Grade Fans:

Anyone and everyone you need to know in the Disney world. Turn the pages to find characters even the biggest Disney fans might have a hard time identifying such as this crew from Monsters University.

The Mouse Watch- (8-12 years)
A secret team of mice protecting the world. This book is full of adventure, problem solving and intrigue. It's a great book for tweens who think they "aren't into Disney anymore." You know, that short lived phase where they are too cool for school before realizing that cool and the mouse go hand in hand!

Written in "diary" format with lots of photos, this book will be treasured by Descendants fans.

Set in modern day New Orleans, Fiends On The Other Side is a great companion book to The Princess and the Frog universe. The combination of New Orleans mystique combined with a dastardly Disney Villain make this middle grade read the perfect entrance into the world of "suspense and horror" genres. You can read the full review HERE.

Books For Young Adults & Those Who Are Young At Heart:

Since the day the forest fell, Arendellians have despised and distrusted Northuldra. The romance between Iduna and Agnarr is reminiscent of Romeo and Juliet- and you'll have to read it to see if it has a happier ending.

What if Cinderella never tried on the glass slipper and wound up working at the castle? Will fate be kind to her?  This Twisted Tale had me so hooked I read it in two days.

You think you know everything about the Skywalker's but do you really know Padmé?  Her's is an empowering story about courage and finding strength in a galaxy far, far away.

Coffee Table Books-

384 pages and almost 1,900 photographs of the fall through winter holidays at Disney Parks.  This is a gorgeous photo book which will bring smiles year after year.

Technically published in December 2019 I love this book so much I'm sneaking it in.
This wonderful book is chock full of  never before published photographs and fascinating facts about the legendary partnership between UB Iwerks and Walt Disney.

24 illustrated maps that colorfully bring to life the movies we love. This book is recommended for 8-12 year olds but I dare you to find an adult Disney fan who will not want this one on the coffee table. Who wouldn't want their own map to the elephant graveyard?

For The Disney Foodie-

100 magical copy cat recipes from Disneyland, Magic Kindgom, Animal Planet, California Adventure, EPCOT, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
from Ashley Craft who is best known for featuring recipes inspired by Disney Parks on her blog.

This new cook book from author Joy Howard is sure to heat up your kitchen! The book has more than 150 recipes with beautiful photos of the finished meals.
