Review:
Own The Room is an inspirational and motivating film. Whether you have the entrepreneurial bug or just love a feel good story this film hits all the high notes.
The film starts off by acquainting us with five of the student-entrepreneur finalists in the competition. As we get to know Alondra (Puerto Rico), Daniela (USA), Henry (Nairobi), Santosh (Nepal) and Jason (Greece) it becomes impossible to root for just one. Each is personable and brings an infectious passion to their project.
During the course of the film we are not sure if any of the five will win the competition. There are forty-six other extremely talented finalists. The directors do a brilliant job bringing the audience along on the journey through the competition. I found myself rooting for all five candidates. Trust me it is impossible to pick a favorite.
Own The Room is full of inspiration. I sat staring at my screen for a few minutes after the film ended with a sense of hope for a bright future that I have not felt since 2020 struck. Bravo to Cristina Costantini and Darren Foster. Thank you for reminding us that there are people who are willing and able to make this world a better place.
