Alice in Wonderland is turning 70 and she has never looked better!
In celebration of Alice in Wonderland’s 70th Anniversary, Disney has released this beautiful Mary Blair Limited Edition Doll. The 16 1/2'' doll features the whimsical and exquisite designs of renowned artist, Mary Blair.
Mary Blair is one of the first Disney female artists and one of the most brilliant conceptual designers to date. Mary Blair began drawing at Walt Disney Studios in 1940. As a pioneer and leading female artist in her field, she was an imaginative color stylist, concept artist, and designer. Blair worked on some of Walt Disney's most popular animated classics, and her topsy-turvy, upside-down art style lent itself masterfully to the film Alice in Wonderland (1951).
Alice's iconic pinafore has been reimagined by Disney store artists with fanciful touches and topsy-turvy trims for a collector's dream in a world all its own. Disney had me with the flowers on Alice's shoes. Such beautiful detail.
